And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my
God, why have you forsaken me?”). Mark 15:34
This suffering type is very much from the dark side which none of us have humanly felt —- the severe pain and agony of OUR Lord being displayed as if he had done the crime? for HE was sandwiched between two prisoners while being cursed as the crowd would walk by……. keeping in mind their was no shifting around your body during this process, nor were their anyways to hide the shame, nor tend to the wounds which were intentionally done in such an abusive manor.
This suffering should humble us to realize that we are not really in charge of OUR lives. Our Lord WAS the lifeline which He sacrifically gave for me, how forever grateful I will always be. I stand in awe of HIS gracious time he has given me, for I carry the “torch” of His light even though at times it may be just a flicker of this very light.
V.O.T.D—-“No one lights a lamp and hides it! Instead, he puts it on a lampstand to give light to all who enter the room”. [Luke 11:33]—-
(how bright is your light?)
