3-Wooden “Crosses”

Cross  #1 —-[Cross of redemption/reconciliation]—-Jesus: this man died for  ALL  sinners

JESUS: the Way, Truth & LIFE

JESUS: the Way, Truth & LIFE

We must note that this “man” was NOT a criminal; He was: Holy, Harmless, Undefiled, Separate from US sinners, and was made higher than the Heavens. He WAS the precious Blood of Christ, as  a Lamb without stain/blemish; did no sin, nor were there anything guile found in his mouth.

Redemption= being released, rescued or delivered; gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Reconciliation= to re-establish a close relationship; this MAN DIED for the SINS of OTHERS.

Cross #2—[Cross of rebellion & rejection]—-thief: he died  IN  sin

This man: was a criminal & was dying for his crimes/sins; we hear of this man’s wicked attitude toward the only MAN who could of redeemed him from sin, and reconcile him towards God,…Yet he had the nerve to quote to Jesus-“if thou be the Christ, then save thyself and us?”

Cross #3—–[Cross of repentance & reception]—–thief: he died  TO  sin

This man: was a criminal, thief,  as well as an evildoer; BUT this man/sinner came to a place in his heart where “change” came about! realizing he was soon to be dead, he received salvation and shortly thereafter “HEAVEN”
