“He [Jesus] said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’ They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey
him!’” Mark 4:40-41 (also note: Mark 4: 35-41)
Storms ultimately do come to an end-in fact there is one “brewing” right now…… And they reveal something new about Jesus. Here the disciples express their amazement that He even controls the winds and the waves. ( ♫ ♫ reminds me of song called “peace be still”…. ♫ ♫ )
What would happen to a Christian being arrested for selling Bibles in front of a university or near the capital YET in a foreign land? He or she would be repeatedly “scoffed” at by the media perhaps… In a final effort would you renounce your Christian faith?
If you went to prison, you may be forced to sign a letter agreeing not to sell Christian literature, or ever hand out another Bible again- although you continue to actively evangelize in parks and other open-air areas. Have you ever been to a foreign land? or helped hand out Bibles to areas where God is suppose to be a secret?
Which leads me to my next question as to “would I be like Paul in prison”? would I continue to spread the news of the man called “Jesus“—-YES! I would do my best to still be one of HIS servants.
